PandaGo and Silence to electrify food delivery fleets in Spain and Portugal
The deal signed by PandaGo and Silence covers the integration of Silence’s S01 scooters with PandaGo’s fleet management services, as well as the use of Silence’s network of battery exchange stations. The latter reduces charging time to around 30 seconds, eliminating the downtime associated with plug-in charging or the need for spare batteries.
According to PandaGo, the Silence S01 motorcycles included in the deal are fully connected and keyless, allowing seamless use by multiple drivers on different shifts without key handovers or lock cylinder management. This functionality addresses operational bottlenecks caused by lost keys, which can leave vehicles idle and reduce delivery capacity.
The scooters also support ride-sharing models, enabling companies to cover the same number of shifts with fewer vehicles. This reduces fixed fleet costs while aligning with new labour frameworks and enhancing economic viability.
The fleet management emphasises that the integrated service combines operational features with a single software management platform, replacing manual spreadsheets and fragmented systems. Companies can monitor vehicle usage in real time, optimise route assignments, and oversee fleet status and performance.
PandaGo states on his blog: “However, there is still a long way to go in terms of professionalisation, management, and coordination. Home delivery has grown too rapidly for years without a clear model or solid structures. Today, sustainability is no longer just environmental: it is also labour, operational, and economic.”
