Malaysia’s largest all-electric logistic fleet grows bigger
The vans are being leased from Yinson GreenTech, the e-mobility subsidiary of Malaysian company Yinson Holdings. As part of the deal, Yinson will provide maintenance and continued support for the entire electric fleet as well as introduce new fleet management tools – including telematics, route optimisation, fleet utilisation, safety and energy efficiency. Yinson GreenTech previously delivered 143 CAM EC35 e-vans to Pos Malaysia back in 2024.
Pos Malaysia is Malaysia’s national postal courier, so the fact it has now got a sizable electric fleet is notable for the country. Pos Malaysia Berhad group CEO, Charles Brewer, said: “We are not just delivering mail and parcels, we are delivering a better tomorrow. The addition of 136 electric vans to our existing fleet marks a significant milestone in Pos Malaysia’s journey toward a sustainable future. And for the first time we will be deploying these all-electric vehicles to our East Malaysia locations, ensuring that our electric vehicles now serve the rakyat across the entire nation.”
Although not the most well-known van brand in Europe, MAXUS is a subsidiary of SAIC and has a worldwide presence. The eDeliver 3 comes in two battery options, either 35kWh or 52.5kWh depending on need, and features a 90kW motor. It can carry a payload of 1045kg and has a combined WLTP range of up to 141 miles.
Pos Malaysia states that this takes it one step further to its goals of expanding its EV fleet in 2026 and onwards to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
