Lucid Gravity celebrates its European premiere at the IAA
Until now, Lucid Motors has only been known in Europe for its luxurious Lucid Air electric saloon, which starts at €85,900 and costs a whopping €250,000 in the Sapphire trim level – the new model year of the vehicle was also recently unveiled.
However, Lucid has also been working on its first electric SUV, called Gravity, for years, and it is now coming to Europe after the first customer deliveries in the US took place in April 2025. Lucid had already presented the Gravity in detail in November 2023, and in autumn 2024, the starting price of US$79,900 for the US market was announced, and order books were opened.
Just in time for the start of the IAA Mobility in Munich, Lucid Motors is now revealing details about the model’s launch in Europe. The Grand Touring version of the Lucid Gravity is now available to order in Europe, with deliveries set to begin in early 2026. The price in Germany starts at €116,900, with leasing options available from €1,169 per month. The more affordable Touring variant, on the other hand, will follow later, with Lucid Motors saying it will be ‘available to order soon’. The starting price for this Lucid Gravity Touring is expected to be €99,900 in Germany.
“With the Lucid Gravity, we have developed an SUV that sets new standards,” said Lawrence Hamilton, President of Europe at Lucid. “We are convinced that the Lucid Gravity, with its strengths in range, performance and versatility, fits perfectly into the everyday lives of our customers. Our SUV combines comfort, space, dynamic balance and efficiency like no other car. The launch in Europe is an important milestone for our brand, and we are very excited to be taking the first orders for the Gravity Grand Touring.”

The facts about the model are known so far: The Lucity Gravity is a full-size SUV measuring 5.04 metres long, 2.20 metres wide and 1.66 metres high. The wheelbase is 3.04 metres. There are three rows of seats for seven people, yet the vehicle is said to offer plenty of space for luggage.
The Lucid Gravity is based on the Lucid Air electric saloon and, according to the manufacturer, offers the ‘performance of a sports car’. This is reflected in a 617 kW engine and acceleration from zero to 100 kph in just 3.6 seconds. The battery in the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring, the first model available in Germany, has a capacity of 123 kWh and a WLTP range of 748 km.
To enable particularly high charging speeds, the vehicle has a 926-volt architecture. This should make it possible to recharge the Grand Touring to a range of 400 km in just 14 minutes – with a relatively stable charging curve. However, Lucid does not provide any information on how long the otherwise often-mentioned charging cycle from ten to 80 per cent charge takes.
Lucid also cites an aluminium-intensive chassis and single-chamber air suspension for smooth, comfortable handling on any road as important features. A Dynamic Handling Package with three-chamber air suspension and active rear-wheel steering is also available as an option, reducing the turning circle to 11.7 metres. Another noteworthy optional extra is the trailer package, which allows a towing capacity of up to 2.5 tonnes, often a weak point in electric cars to date.
The central element in the interior is a floating 34-inch 6K OLED display, complemented by a horizontal pilot panel and an optional augmented reality head-up display. The Lucid Gravity also features the DreamDrive 2 driver assistance system, which in the Premium and Pro variants offers a comprehensive package of functions, including 3D surround view monitoring, adaptive lane biasing and hands-free drive assist. NVIDIA technology runs in the background.
