Nio launches European debut of the ET7

Nio has presented its ET7 electric sedan, unveiled in China earlier this year, in Germany – and Europe – for the first time. Nio also confirms that the ET7 will be the first model to be launched in Germany in 2022.

Mahle presents ChargeBIG Power to manage DC chargers

At the IAA Mobility, German supplier Mahle announced expanding its range of EV charging solutions. The chargeBIG system, optimized for AC charging, is to be supplemented by the chargeBIG Power charging management system, which can support fast charging with outputs of up to 750 kW.

Cupra to go emissions-free by 2030

Cupra aims to become a fully electric brand by 2030 – Seat will then continue to offer internal combustion engines and hybrids. In the meantime, Cupra has started production of its first fully electric Born model at the German plant in Zwickau.

Microlino 2.0 launches with three battery options

Micro Mobility Systems presented the series Microlino 2.0 at the IAA Mobility. The light electric vehicle will be available in the three editions Urban, Dolce and Competizione and with three battery versions for a range of 95, 175 and 230 kilometres respectively. Production is set to start this year.

Siemens Autonomous Charging System debuts at IAA

The ‘Siemens Autonomous Charging System’ is debuting in Munich today, and Siemens says the solution allows fully automated charging of electric vehicles from cars to trucks. The prototype now on display has a charging capacity of up to 300 kW, but the company is gearing for one megawatt in future.

Hyundai to end ICE model sales in Europe by 2035

At the IAA Mobility 2021, the Hyundai Motor Company announced its voluntary commitment to become climate-neutral by 2045. In the course of this, no more combustion vehicles are to be sold in Europe from 2035, and in the remaining most important world markets from 2040.
