Iveco Bus to deliver 87 electric school minibuses to Italy
The eDaily minibuses, each less than eight metres in length, are designed for extra-urban and interurban routes. The project aims to reduce environmental impact while improving comfort and safety for students travelling to and from school. Covering all five provinces of Campania, the programme gives particular attention to mobility in inland areas and smaller municipalities, where accessibility and connectivity remain key priorities.
Built on the established Daily platform, the eDaily minibuses are designed and manufactured in Italy. Each vehicle features USB charging ports, air conditioning, destination displays, a lift ramp and a dedicated space for passengers with reduced mobility. The vehicles also include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), video surveillance, GPS tracking linked to an operations centre, and motion sensors with an integrated emergency alert system.

This project represents a major step towards zero-emission mobility, offering safer and more environmentally friendly transport for the region’s youth.”
The contract with Acamir forms part of a broader regional initiative to modernise school transport and promote sustainable mobility in both urban and rural communities. With the delivery of these 87 units, Campania is said to become one of the first Italian regions to implement a fully electric school transport programme on this scale.
