Genesis selects Ohme as exclusive home charging partner
The aim of the partnership is to encourage customers to switch to an electric car by providing easy access through a simple referral scheme to a home-charging unit from Ohme. As mentioned above, Ohme will supply the charger, the installation service and a support package directly through the Genesis retail network, as well as training and assistance for retailers.
According to Genesis, fully charging a GV60 electric SUV fitted with an 84kWh battery on an Ohme charging device using the Intelligent Octopus Go charging tariff would cost about £5.88 for a full charge, providing a 348-mile WLTP range.
“Ohme’s strong customer service ethos aligns with Genesis’ Son Nim customer-centric approach. As a result, we’re delighted to partner with Ohme for the benefit of our customers and our retailer network,” said Ashley Andrew, President and CEO of Genesis and Hyundai UK.
Ohme Director Peter McDonald added: “We’re looking forward to bringing the Ohme benefits of easy charging and low running costs to Genesis customers. With Genesis refreshing its line-up of electric models this year, customers not only have an updated product range to choose from but access to all that Ohme can bring to their ownership experience.”
Ohme has proven to be quite a popular charging partner, as both the Chinese manufacturer Xpeng as well as Smart also selected the company. Before them, both Hyundai and Mercedes also chose the company as their official charging partner.
