Kia UK receives 1,000 Rolec charging points
The English charging infrastructure manufacturer Rolec EV has delivered more than 1,000 charging points for electric vehicles to Kia in the UK. The devices will be installed at dealerships and will also be sold to customers.
Innogy presents next-generation charging stations
Innogy eMobility Solutions will be presenting the new generation of charging stations they developed in-house for the first time at E-world from 5 to 7 February in Essen. The new product portfolio for charging with up to 22 kW alternating current consists of three different variants.
VW bundles their charging and energy business
Volkswagen announced the establishment of a subsidiary for energy offers and charging solutions. The Elli Group GmbH will be headquartered in Berlin and will develop energy and charging products and services for the Wolfsburg Group brands.
Wallbox launch China JV to make charging equipment
Wallbox Chargers of Spain set up a new joint venture with Chinese Changchun FAWSN. Together they aim to sell up to half a million Wallbox charging stations a year. A new factory in the manufacturing city of Suzhou, close to Shanghai, will cover the entire production.
A brave new world of DC home charging
There are a number of new charging solutions on show at the eMove360° in Munich. Wallbox of Spain and ABB of Switzerland have developed DC chargers for home owners. Also German Webasto is sporting their latest smart charging features at the fair.
EnBW supplies 37 shopping centres with wallboxes
The real estate developer ECE is receiving some support for the development of the charging infrastructure at their shopping centres, and have begun a cooperation with EnBW. They plan to supply 37 ECE shopping centres with four wallbox chargers each.
ABB expands Wallbox portfolio to include 52 types
ABB is expanding its portfolio as the Swiss add a range of wallboxes for AC charging at homes and workplaces. The new range includes a total of 52 types and offers charging at 4.6 to 22 kW. It runs on the Open-Charge-Point-Protokoll (OCPP).
