Rivian to install Waypoint chargers at all Tennessee Parks

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) announced a new deal with EV automaker Rivian to install Rivian Waypoint EV charging stations at Tennessee State Parks. The goal is to have charging stations available at all 56 state parks, depending on the availability of electricity.

The industrial group ABB, together with EWW Anlagentechnik, has equipped the Austrian Post with around 2,000 AC wall boxes, which are to be installed at more than 100 locations. Wallbox goes public with Kensington Capital Partners

Spanish charging infrastructure provider Wallbox plans to merge with exchange shell Kensington Capital Partners for the purpose of going public. The joint company, valued at around $1.5 billion, is to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol WBX.

Electrify America releases faster EV home charger

Electrify America’s charging equipment outlet, Electrify Home, announced that its fastest to-date Level 2 charger, HomeStation, is now on sale on its website for $649. The Volkswagen subsidiary specifies charge power at 9.6kW at 40 amps.

Iberdrola to install chargers at 200 fast food locations

The Spanish energy supplier Iberdrola has reached an agreement with the company Restaurant Brands Iberia (RB Iberia) to install 400 charging points for electric cars at almost 200 Burger King and Popeyes shops in Spain. Later, the cooperation could be extended to Portugal.

Rivian to launch their own charging network in the USA

Rivian has presented plans for its own charging networks, in which the North American electric car startup is strongly inspired by Tesla’s Superchargers and Destination Chargers. Rivian is focusing on North America with the new network, and there is no mention of a similar project for Europe.

EVBox charge points to be used by Q-Park in the UK

Dutch charging infrastructure manufacturer EVBox has announced that 500 of its charging points will be installed at car parks in the UK. These will be supplied by the UK charging station operator Franklin Energy to the car park operator Q-Park.
