Renault publishes Italian prices for the new Twingo

The base version of the fourth-generation Twingo remains below the €20,000 mark. While DC charging is becoming more standard across Europe, Italian buyers have to pay extra for a fast charging function and 11 kW AC charging.

Just under two weeks after the official presentation of the fourth generation Twingo, Renault’s Italian division has published the prices for the local market. At market launch, the iconic retro-style microcar will be available exclusively in the upmarket ‘Techno’ trim level. The list price for this model starts at €21,100.

As part of Renault’s ‘R-Pass’ pre-order programme, which is open until 7 January 2026, early birds can enjoy a certain price advantage. Including certain additional equipment, they can purchase the Twingo ‘Techno’ for 21,490 euros. In spring 2026, the French carmaker will follow up with the basic version, the Twingo Evolution, which at €19,500 remains just below the important €20,000 mark.

However, if they don’t tick the right box in the configurator, Italian buyers of the entry-level version could be in for a nasty surprise. A fast-charging function is not standard on the Italian market. Even at AC charging stations, the small 27 kWh LFP battery can only be charged at 6.6 kW as standard.

If you want to make your Twingo suitable for long distances with a peak DC charging capacity of 50 kW, increase the AC charging capacity to the usual 11 kW and use the ‘Vehicle to Load’ function, you will need to add the ‘Advanced Charge’ package for an additional €490. In Germany, these technical features are included as standard. The range is 263 kilometres for all versions.
