Irizar to deliver electric buses to cities across Poland
According to the manufacturer, the Irizar ie bus was selected across all five contracts between Irizar and Polish transport operators. However, the orders are each for different variants of the ie bus – ranging from the ten-meter version to the 18-meter articulated bus.
Let’s take a quick look at the orders: According to Irizar, public transport operator MZA Varsovia ordered ten 10-meter ie buses for use in Warsaw several weeks ago. The vehicles are scheduled for delivery at the end of 2026, and there is an option for ten more. MPK Cracovia has ordered 22 twelve-meter buses for use in Krakow city center. MPK Cracovia already has 26 electric buses from Irizar in its fleet.
MZK Bielsko-Biała has also ordered the 12-meter version, but only twelve units – the first vehicles are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2026. Irizar has received an order for five 10-meter buses from MPK Nowy Sącz. This small order is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
The largest of the five orders comes from GZM Katowice. The operator has ordered 31 e-buses, including 16 articulated buses with a length of 18 meters and 15 twelve-meter buses. The vehicles are to be used in several cities.
“We want to give thanks to all the operators for putting their faith in our electromobility solutions. It makes us happy to see how our electric buses are expanding throughout Poland. We hope that residents can have a comfortable, quiet and environmentally friendly travel experience.” says Mikel Irizar, commercial director of Irizar e-mobility Eastern Europe.
