Zeekr to launch vehicle deliveries in Germany in January

Zeekr announced its launch in Germany, with the first deliveries expected to start in January. The most affordable of the three electric models now available in Germany starts at 38,000 euros. The Geely brand is focusing on direct sales, certified service partners, and, above all, corporate buyers for its market entry in Germany.

Zeekr had originally planned to enter the German market as early as the beginning of 2024. After a delay of nearly two years, Geely’s premium electric vehicle brand has now finally announced concrete steps: orders for the Zeekr X, Zeekr 7X, and Zeekr 001 are now open, with deliveries scheduled to begin in January. Pricing starts at €37,990 for the compact Zeekr X SUV, €54,990 for the mid-size 7X SUV, and €59,990 for the nearly five-metre-long 001 shooting brake. All sales will be conducted through a direct distribution model, described by Zeekr as a “digital ordering system supplemented by personal points of contact”.

For context: the 001 and the compact Zeekr X SUV were already available for order in Germany in 2024 (priced from €44,990 and €59,900, respectively), but domestic deliveries had not yet commenced. Initially, deliveries were limited to Sweden, the Netherlands, and Norway. Subsequently, Belgium, Denmark, and Switzerland were added. In a recent expansion phase, Zeekr also launched in Greece, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bulgaria this summer and autumn, with deliveries in these markets expected to begin before the end of the year.

Global Automotive Service Becomes Operational Partner

Zeekr’s announcement regarding its entry into the German market signals a shift from the ordering phase to actual deliveries. Initially, 40 certified Zeekr service centres will be operational in Germany, with the network set to expand to 100 locations by the second quarter of 2026. These centres will serve as hubs for maintenance, repairs, spare parts distribution, and test drives. The operational partner for the Chinese brand is GAS Global Automotive Service GmbH, which operates a network of around 1,700 affiliated businesses.

With this ‘service infrastructure’, the manufacturer aims to cater specifically to the needs of large and medium-sized fleets. Zeekr wrote: “Germany is Europe’s largest company car market; nearly two-thirds of all new registrations are for commercial customers, and the share of battery-electric company cars continues to rise. For Zeekr, this is a strategically optimal moment to introduce an offering that prioritises range, charging performance, cost efficiency, and everyday practicality for fleets.”

Zeekr further emphasises that its models are developed within Geely Group’s European development network, with design contributions from a dedicated studio in Gothenburg. This underscores the brand’s close ties to sister company Volvo Cars. The two larger models, the 7X and 001, are specifically tailored to European usage profiles, “including long motorway journeys, high annual mileage, and steering, damping, and pedal tuning optimised for European road conditions,” the company added. The operating and menu logic, as well as acoustic tuning, have also been adapted accordingly.

In line with its premium positioning, Zeekr aims to equip its vehicles with extensive standard features. For the 7X and 001 models, these include 21- or 22-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, matrix LED headlights, a heat pump, a 22-kW onboard charger, air suspension, massage seats, and a comprehensive driver assistance package.

Warranties for Battery and Vehicle

Zeekr offers an eight-year or 200,000-kilometre warranty on the high-voltage battery. For the entire vehicle, the manufacturer provides a ‘5+5-year’ warranty: five years or 100,000 kilometres are included as standard with the purchase. If servicing is conducted within the Zeekr service network, the warranty extends to ten years or 200,000 kilometres. The first test drives are expected to be available “from the end of the year” and can be easily booked via the website.

“The German company car market sets exacting standards, and we have tailored our offering precisely to meet these,” commented Lothar Schupet, Acting CEO of Zeekr Europe. “Businesses require premium electric mobility that is reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with the needs of fleets and company car drivers. Our direct sales model, combined with a robust service network, is designed to address these requirements.”
