Xpeng begins deliveries of P7+
Xpeng has announced via its Weibo account in China that it has begun large-scale overseas deliveries of the Xpeng P7+ 2026 model year. The company plans to offer the vehicle in 36 countries and regions, including Europe—more details are provided below.
The P7+ has been available in China since November 2024, initially only as a battery-electric vehicle. A quick clarification: the model designation P7 has long been associated with Xpeng, referring to a saloon in the five-metre class—read our test drive review here. For the next generation, Xpeng decided to launch two distinct models under the familiar P7 label. The new P7 is positioned as a sporty and dynamic model, while the P7+ is designed with slightly more practicality for families. The P7+ is also available in Europe, with its premiere taking place in early January at the motor show in Brussels. Since mid-January, the saloon has also been available for order in Germany.
Units destined for Europe—alongside the two SUV models, the G6 and G9—are being manufactured by Magna in Graz. Just days before the P7+’s European premiere, it was announced that test production had commenced in Austria. Xpeng has yet to confirm the start of series production, so it may still be some time before the first deliveries arrive in Europe.
The first units now being delivered are likely P7+ models produced in China for other overseas markets. For the press photos, several vehicles were parked at the port next to a transport ship to form the ‘P7+’ logo. The article by CN EV Post does not specify which markets these vehicles are destined for.
While Xpeng offers the P7+ in Europe in only three battery-electric variants—more details are available in our article on its Brussels premiere—the version available in China also includes a range-extender drivetrain. However, even in its battery-electric form, the P7+ (on paper) is a highly capable long-distance vehicle: like the G6 and G9, it features an LFP battery with 5C charging, enabling a charging time of twelve minutes to reach 80%, regardless of battery size. Instead of relying on large and heavy batteries, Xpeng has focused on high efficiency and low consumption in the P7+, achieving a standard range of up to 530 kilometres even with a maximum battery capacity of 74.9 kWh.
