The integration went live on 1 May 2026 and includes approximately 2,000 rapid and ultra-rapid charging points across the MFG EV Power network in the UK. The rollout follows more than one year of technical development.

The MFG EV Power network includes more than 500 sites in the UK, with chargers ranging from 50 kW to 400 kW. Moreover, MFG has announced an investment of over £400 million in its EV charging infrastructure, with a target of installing more than 3,000 ultra-rapid chargers by 2030. The latter also operates more than 1,200 forecourt sites across the UK.

The Plug&Charge functionality enables compatible electric vehicles to authenticate and start charging automatically upon connection, without the use of mobile applications, RFID cards or manual input.

“The UK is one of Europe’s most important and fastest growing EV markets and having the country’s largest rapid charging network live on Hubject’s Plug&Charge infrastructure is a significant moment,” said Hubject CEO Christian Hahn. “The broader the Plug&Charge footprint, the stronger the case becomes for every CPO yet to adopt it.”

“At MFG, we are committed to making the transition to electric vehicles straightforward for UK drivers,” said MFG`s EV Director Martin Symes. “Our partnership with Hubject forms part of that commitment as we bring Plug&Charge capability to approximately 2,000 rapid and ultra-rapid charge points across the UK. This partnership is a key part of our wider £400 million programme to accelerate EV adoption and support the UK’s climate goals.”
