Fastned raises charging location targets

The European fast-charging company Fastned has announced new targets. By the end of 2024, Fastned wants to double the size of its network to at least 400 locations, which will require additional funding of 50 to 75 million euros.

New UK fleet roaming network announced and led by Paua

Today, Paua, a newcomer to the e-mobility space announced in 2020, published a milestone. The roaming business says it has now signed up companies amounting to access to 10,000 charge points across the UK. Their clients include leading providers such as Osprey, Fastned, Ionity, Connected Kerb, Char.gy, and Mer.

FastNed raises charging prices

The fast-charging provider Fastned is increasing its prices in several countries in continental Europe. The new prices come into effect on 11 November 2021 from 12 noon. The price increase is in response to ever-increasing overall energy prices, despite the fact that FastNed exclusively uses renewable energy.

Fastned marks major turnover increase for Q3

Dutch fast-charging provider Fastned has reported a 96 per cent increase in turnover in the third quarter compared to Q3 2020. Fastned is also considering switching to a “more dynamic pricing strategy” to reflect pricing trends in the European market.

Fastned marks 14% increase in charging in Q4/2020

Fast charging company Fastned increased its revenue from charging operations in the fourth quarter of 2020 by 14% year-on-year to €1.9 million. The number of charging transactions in the Fastned network rose to over 194,000 (+12%).

Fastned enters Switzerland with new rapid-charging park

Fastned opens its first fast-charging site in Switzerland and thus includes country number five in its HPC network. The new charging park is located near Zurich on the A1 motorway and offers a charging capacity of 300 kW for up to four EVs simultaneously.

Fastned wants to build nine HPC parks in France

Fastned has received the first order from France. The highway operator Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône (APRR) has commissioned the Dutch company to build and operate nine charging parks. The French Ministry of Transport must still approve the contract.

Biggest EU Tesla charge park yet planned in Germany

Tesla’s largest fast-charging park in the EU will soon go online on a plot of land owned by bakery Roland Schüren at the Hilden motorway junction (A3/A46) near Düsseldorf. Fastned is also planning to set up fast-charging points for other electric cars right there.

Fastned to install 13 HPC parks in Belgium

The Dutch Fastned has received approval for 13 motorway sites in Belgium. The High Power Chargers, designed for a charging capacity of up to 350 kW, are to be installed on existing parking areas directly on the most important motorways.

Tesla raises Model 3 charge capacity to 200 kW

Since last weekend, Tesla has been installing a new firmware update for Model 3 already delivered in Europe. This means that charging capacities of up to 200 kW are now also possible with third-party suppliers – at least at a few locations.
