Wireless charging testbed: EVs that charge inductively can be tested in Greenville, South Carolina. The new testbed is part of the International Transportation Innovation Center (ITIC) and the result of a cooperation between Clemson University, Toyota, Evatran, Cisco, Duke Energy and the ORNL.

Archimede-Solar-Car-conceptUpcycled solar car: Sicilian start-up Futuro Solar and the University of Catania jointly developed the Archimede Solar Car concept. It is made almost solely from recycled materials (98%) and powered by 246 solar panels with an output of 1,000 watts. The vehicle reaches a maximum of 57 kph but could go faster in the future.
