According to a study by Consumer Reports, around 1,500 people have been injured in accidents involving electric kick-scooters in the USA since the end of 2017. The article is based on estimates from hospitals in 47 US cities in which either Bird or Lime operate.

Daimler’s MyTaxi launch first kick-scooter fleet in Lisbon

After announcing plans to add electric scooters to their portfolio a month ago, MyTaxi revealed the location of their pilot: Lisbon. People in the Portuguese capital can rent a scooter from a fleet of hundreds. For Daimler, this may open a whole new venture labelled Hive.

San Francisco & Santa Monica select e-scooter partners

The Californian cities of San Francisco and Santa Monica have announced the license recipients for electric scooter sharing service: San Francisco has chosen Scoot Networks and Skip, while Santa Monica will be working with Bird, Lime, Uber and Lyft.
