GlasGo Cabs orders 360 Nissan Leaf in Scotland

Glasgow-based taxi and hire car company GlasGo Cabs has ordered 360 Nissan Leafs to replace existing internal combustion models with its fully electric vehicles. The 360 electric cars are to be delivered over a period of three years, the first eleven of which will arrive this year.

Norway marks 11,811 new EV registrations in August

In Norway, 11,811 new electric cars were registered in August. The share of electric cars in new passenger car registrations was 71.9 per cent last month. Norway’s most successful model across all drive types in August was the Tesla Model Y with 1,308 new registrations.

NHS adds 500 Nissan Leafs to its fleet

The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) has ordered 500 Nissan Leafs through its offshoot NHS Fleet Solutions. The electric cars will be made available to healthcare staff and other public sector employees as part of a leasing program via deferred compensation.

Buyers of the Nissan Leaf in Italy benefit from a new package which Nissan, Enel Energia and Enel X have put together. Called E-ASY ELECTRIC, it includes 480 kWh of free charging at more than 12,000 Enel X charging stations via the JuicePass app.

Nissan Leaf MY20 receives update

The Nissan Leaf is undergoing some upgrades for the new model year. The Leaf MY20 version has been in production since mid-November and, according to the Japanese company, will be rolling into dealerships “very soon”. Prices for the Nissan BEV start from 29,233.95 euros.

Nissan lowers UK prices for the Leaf e+

Nissan UK announced the start of production of the new Leaf model year on 16 November. A new 62 kWh entry-level model and lower prices for the e+ Tekna will be available in the UK. The expectation is that similar changes to the Nissan Leaf will soon be introduced in mainland Europe.

Nissan has announced the U.S. American pricing for the 2020 Leaf electric car. The 2020 Nissan Leaf S, which uses a 40 kWh battery, starts at $31,600. The 2020 Nissan Leaf Plus S, which features a larger 62 kWh battery, has an MSRP of $38,200.

Gotthard FASTcharge (GOFAST) recently opened one of Switzerland’s largest fast-charging parks at a service station, using eight Nissan Leaf batteries as a buffer. “Fake news” of a diesel generator being used circulated so stubbornly on social media, however, that GOFAST now took counteraction.
