Tesla starts 2022 with record profits

Tesla has presented their business figures for the first quarter of 2022. Tesla achieved a surplus of 3.32 billion euros. While the production stop in Shanghai at the end of the quarter prevented better results, it is only likely to show its full effect in Q2.

Tesla delivered 310,048 electric cars in the first three months of the year, more than in any previous quarter. Production fell minimally from the fourth quarter of 2021 to 305,407 vehicles. But the second quarter is starting off with difficulties.

Tesla stops taking Model S/X orders outside North America

Tesla, in an email to customers, announced it was not taking Model S and Model X orders outside North America. The company now expects deliveries in other markets to restart during the second half of 2022. Configurators in Germany continue to show both models but do not indicate prices or delivery dates any longer.

Tesla hearse conversion enters real-life operations in the UK

The UK sees a fully electric hearse based on the Tesla Model S coming to the south of England. Tesla delivers another record in Q1/2021

Tesla announced new record deliveries of 184,800 electric cars during the first quarter of 2021. Q1 of any year but especially this Covid-year is traditionally a slow quarter for car companies which makes it even more remarkable.
