Peugeot 408 launches with two PHEV versions

Peugeot has presented a new model, the 408. The hatchback sedan with SUV elements will initially be launched in early 2023 with two plug-in hybrid drives, among others. A fully electric version is to follow a few months later.

Royal Mail rolls out 43 zero emission delivery vans

The British post service Royal Mail has replaced the entire fleet with electric vans at its delivery office in Leighton Buzzard, a town in Bedfordshire, England. 43 new EVs will charge at twelve charging columns Royal Mail installed on site. The acquisition is part of the company’s plan to increase the number of EVs tenfold.

Peugeot to sell only BEVs in Europe by 2030

According to brand CEO Linda Jackson, Peugeot is to become an all-electric car manufacturer in Europe by 2030. Outside Europe, however, Peugeot intends to continue offering internal combustion engine models beyond 2030.

Guardia di Finanza rents 30 Peugeot e-208

The Italian financial and customs police have ordered 30 Peugeot e-208s. A first electric car painted in the official colours of the “Guardia di Finanza” is on free loan and has already been handed over. The other electric cars will be rented on a long-term basis.

VDL Bus Venlo will become an industrial partner of Camperfixx, a camper builder from Friesland. VDL will build compact electric campers based on the almost identical vehicles Peugeot Expert, Toyota Proace, Opel Vivaro and Citroën Jumpy. The first model is scheduled for completion in February.

PSA and FCA have now completed their merger, paving the way for the creation of Stellantis. The new group’s ordinary shares will start trading on Euronext in Paris and Mercato Telematico Azionario in Milan on 18 January, and on the New York Stock Exchange on 19 January, each under the symbol “STLA”.
