Google’s Chris Urmson is responsible for the autonomous vehicle project of the internet giant which does not want to become vehicle manufacturer but is looking for partners to bring its self-driving cars to the market within the next five years.

Fastned CEO Michiel Langezaal believes that EV uptake will accelerate significantly once the tipping point is reached. While the Netherland’s goal of 200,000 EVs by 2020 might be hard to reach, EV numbers could go up rapidly to 8 million beyond 2020.

Nitin-Gadkari“Several state transport corporations running diesel buses are making huge losses. In association with the heavy industries ministry, we have prepared a proposal to introduce electric buses. Once we approve this, we will approach urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu.”

Apparently the Indian government is pondering the introduction of electric buses. However, plans of the minister of traffic Nitin Gadkari are still in the early stages.
