1,200 BYD e-buses for China: The city of Dalian has signed an agreement with the Chinese company to purchase 600 electric buses this year and another 600 in 2015. The contract also mentions the conversion of 50% of the province’s cabs into “new energy vehicles.” As a result, BYD will open a new e-bus factory in the Dalian Huayuankou Economic Zone.
