Tesla Airport Taxi: Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam wants to add 100 Model S destined to serve as cabs for flight passengers by the end of the year. The fleet will be run by three Dutch cab companies with concessions starting from June.

Carsharing and taxis in Austria: The Austrian Climate and Energyfund is calling for concepts for electric carsharing and electric taxis. Four concepts will compete in a first step before a final decision on which idea to put into practice will be made beginning of next year. The winning project might then be ruled out in Vienna, Graz and Klagenfurt with funding of six million euros.

California to cut EV rebates: The California Air Resources Board is discussing to reduce tax incentives for EV buyers by 500 dollar as its Clean Vehicle Rebate Program is 30 million dollars in debt this year. Another option is to exclude EVs costing more than 60,000 dollars from the programme which would mean taking Tesla’s Model S and the Caddy ELR out of the game.

Shoprider goes EV: Taiwanese company Pihsiang, owner of the scooter brand Shoprider, is marketing its new range of EVs under the name of Achensa. The electric cars have a price tag at around 11,000 pounds (18,400 dollars) and are capable of just over 50 miles on a single charge with a top speed of either 28 mph or 50 mph, depending on the model.
