Plug-in buses for Hamburg: Public transport provider Hamburger Hochbahn and Volvo have signed an agreement for the delivery of three plug-in diesel-electric hybrid buses with an all-electric range of about 10 kilometres. The charging infrastructure and technology will come from Siemens.
Hydrogen infrastructure: Toyota will help local authorities in Japan and the U.S. with the development of infrastructure for hydrogen filling stations to speed up the adoption of fuel-cell cars. Next year, Toyota will introduce trailer stations that can be moved to different locations and serve as temporary filling stations.
