May 2014 EV and hybrid sales in the U.S.

With 12,053 plug-in cars rolling of dealers’ lots, May proved to be a good month with a 61 percent increase compared to May 2013. Nissan sold 3,117 units of the Leaf and has been able to hold its 15-months lead, while the Toyota Prius came in second with 1,741 new units on the road. The Chevy Volt took third place, selling 1,684 times.
