New hybrid Toyota: The Japanese carmaker will show its concept C-HR at the Paris Motor Show. The crossover might go into serial production already next year, probably under the name of Auris Cross. Toyota confirmed that the C-HR will be available as hybrid version.
Competitive Korean: In Europe, Kia’s Soul EV will hit the market at a price of 30,790 euros. This means the electric Korean will be cheaper than the BMW i3 (34,950 euros) and VW’s e-Golf (34,900 euros). In the States, the Soul will be available first in Califonia from 34,500 dollars before rebates, thus taking on the Nissan Leaf as well as the Ford Focus electric directly.

Performance Hybrid: Jeff Cobb of hybridCARS took the Infiniti Q50 Hybrid through detailed testing. Although it has reasonably more power than Toyota’s Camry Hybrid, fuel consumption is basically as low. With its luxury and “handsome looks,” the Q50 is clearly “targeting German competition.”
