Canada charges ahead: Canadian EV infrastructure provider Sun Country Highway wants to install no fewer than 1,000 charging stations across the country. A timeframe for the project has not yet been announced.

The first Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell have been delivered to UK customers such as Transport for London, Air Products, ITM Power and Johnson Matthey. UK consumers can order the vehicle by contacting Hyundai UK directly. Coordinating deliveries worldwide, Hyundai will fulfil new customer deliveries in early 2015.

Zipcar hits streets in Madrid: The U.S. carsharing scheme will feature a Peugeot 308 hybrid as part of their fleet in the Spanish capital. The company is set on expanding across Europe and already operates in France, the UK and Austria.

Electric buses overhead: The German city of Esslingen will be getting four new electric buses that can be charged via overhead electric wires and then operate on electricity stored in the battery. The first two buses could go into service at the beginning of 2016.
