AMP, Singapore, Car2go, PlugSurfing & Vattenfall.

AMP deal in Texas: The company is to supply 18 of its all-electric Workhorse E-100 Walk-in vans to a “major transportation company” (our bet is on FedEx). They will be used in Houston for package deliveries in and around the city.

Cutting congestion in Singapore: The city state announced that it will invest 1.5 billion dollars in sustainability over the next five years. One of the projects is adding more public transportation to reduce traffic and offering electric carsharing. They are even planning “driverless vehicles”.

Is Car2go headed for China? Daimler supposedly plans to introduce its carsharing scheme there, but nothing is under lock and key yet, a Moovel spokesperson told AutoblogGreen. Let’s hope that if Car2go enters the Chinese market, they will be using electric Smarts.

Vattenfall joins PlugSurfing: Following deals with RWE and E.On, the Berlin-based company now also cooperates with Vattenfall. Users can access Vattenfall charge points in Hamburg and Berlin via the PlugSurfing app and pay using the RFID key chain. The same is true for some 10,000 charge points in the Netherlands and another 130 in Austria (we reported).
