Electric Circuit grows: Eight public charging stations will be installed in a total of six Canadian municipalities, all of which signed a partnership agreement with Electric Circuit. Six charge points for South Carolina: Canadian charging infrastructure provider EV Charge Solution will install these in the city of Concord. Locations include the city’s airport, transit center, operations center and a parking deck center.

Charging in Illinois: Level 1 charging points have been installed in parking garages at the University of Illinois. Some are located in metered spaces, others in parking garages that require a specific permit. The university plans to install Level 2 chargers within the next year.

Germany incentivizes EVs: To push sales of electric cars and cut emissions, Germany will propose tax incentives for owners of electric company cars. According to an outline of a national action plan, owners will be able to offset half the cost of the vehicle against tax in the year it is bought from 2015.
