Tesla announces battery swap program: Tesla will start a battery swap pilot program in California this week with selected Model S drivers, intended to test technology and assess demand. Denmark to top up: Danish energy agency Energistyrelsen is to grant another 31 million krones (5m dollars) to e-mobility. The money will be used to expand the EV charger network as well as hydrogen fuelling stations and aims to get another 1,200 electric cars on the roads within the next few years.

Siemens rapid chargers: Siemens will deliver multiple QC45 multi-standard rapid charging stations to the UK. By early 2015, a total of 39 chargers will be installed in South Tyneside and Dorset. More locations are to follow in the course of the year.

Electric cab fleet: Cab company C&C from Cornwall has just added a Nissan e-NV200 to its fleet. The all-electric van joins an existing carpool of six Nissan Leaf. The company hopes the e-NV200 will save up to 10,000 pounds in fuel costs annually.
