Battery ageing: For the past three years, the ABattReLife project examined possible factors for the quick deterioration of batteries towards their lives’ end, as well as ways to re-use the power packs. The EU research project includes stakeholders from France, the Netherlands, and Germany. The German partners will present their findings on the optimal life cycle on June, 11th.

Compact pre-charge relay: To reduce peak currents prior to the start of the car or system, Omron has launched a new relay for circuits of electric vehicles and other battery systems on the market. The G9EJ – 1 is among the smallest of its kind. The relays can switch currents up to 25 A at a system voltage of up to 400V.
