Tesla teams up with Airbnb: As many as 100 Airbnb hosts on the West Coast, USA, could receive a free Tesla home charger. 12 Tesla-ready locations are already available and the application for a free charging station is still available via the Airbnb website. Tesla will only provide the charger, however. Hosts have to pay for installation themselves.

Indianapolis (finally) goes electric: The BlueIndy electric carsharing scheme will finally hit the road on September 2nd, featuring with 25 charging stations and 50 EVs. Kick-off had initially been planned for the end of 2014, but operator Bolloré faced funding issues and battled with city council over parking spaces. BlueIndy aims to increase the number of chargers and cars tenfold.
