Electric deliveries in Delhi: Indian online grocery retailer BigBasket plans to use electric cars for deliveries in India’s capital and surrounding areas. Talks with Mahindra Reva are under way, as is a prototype. The internet start-up plans on initially 100 EVs with deliveries to begin within the next six months.

U Drive Electric is a new programme by Utah University designed to help staff and students go electric. They can benefit from a five up to 20 percent discount on the purchase or lease of electric or plug-in hybrid car. The offer is available at three participating dealerships from Ford, Nissan and BMW until the end of 2015.

Audi and Alpiq connect: Drivers of Audi plug-in hybrids will be able to install their own home charging station supplied by Alpiq E-Mobility in Switzerland. The cooperation requires Alpiq to take charge of installation and commissioning of the stations.

Charging more freely: Starting next year, Smatrics will offer Swiss customers three new tariffs based on charging time. The deal does not require customers to pay a monthly base fee and new customers get access charging stations via mobile phone instead of a charge card.
