Netherlands: BMW’s PHEV sales plummet by 90 percent

The end of state subsidies for PHEV in the Netherlands has significant consequences: BMW suffered a decline in PHEV sales of 90 percent since the rule has been applied at the beginning of the year.

BMW’s statistics show that sales of electrified vehicles in the Netherland have fallen in general by 57 percent. An exception is the i3 model that attracts more demand (+ 139 percent) than in the previous year, what is due to the fact that all-electric vehicles are still on the country’s subsidy list.
