Tesla being reviewed on work safety
Tesla has received some criticism about potentially manipulated work accident statistics, and is now beinng investigated by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health. The company is being accused of deliberately hiding workplace safety issues in their Fremont factory, which Tesla has vehemently denied.
After the announcement by the workplace safety regulation agency, Tesla has denied the claims in an extensive blog entry, which claims that the rumors are “an ideologically motivated attack by an extremist organization working directly with union supporters to create a calculated disinformation campaign against Tesla.”
The whole thing was kicked off by a report on the investigative website Reveal, which is owned by the US American media company Center for Investigative Reporting. The report, which was published on Monday, relied on unnamed employee sources stating that workplace hazards and safety went under-reported.
