Mercedes has presented an all-electric crossover at the Beijing Motor Show. The concept, named the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury, combines the “DNA of an SUV with that of a saloon to produce an ultra-modern SUV of three-box design.”

Mercedes has describe the E-Crossover as a visionary design and continues their tradition of presenting eye-catching concepts on an annual basis for the car shows. The Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury is driving in the same league as the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 and the Vision Tokyo.

The most important technical features are as follows: The vehicle is 5.26 m long, 2.11 m wide and stands at 1.76 m height. It is powered by four electric motors, which provide a combined power of 550 kW and four-wheel drive. The flat battery mounted in the floor of the car has a 80 kWh capacity and allows for an NEFZ range of more than 500 km, according to the manufacturers. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h, and the CCS fast charging system allows for charges of up to 350 kW at the corresponding charging stations. Alternatively, the vehicle also allows for inductive charging.

Mercedes aims to not only emulate the design that is associated with Mercedes-Maybach, but with the integration of SUV and sedan features, they also integrated their most popular  models in the world, and perhaps more importantly, China.
