Up in the far north of the American continent, a new line of electric trucks and smaller utility vehicles is emerging. The new EVs come out of the factory of Lion Electric, a Quebec-based maker of electric school buses foremost.

After having completed a large order of their eLion electric buses in the States, the Canadian company wants to expand their portfolio to include anything from small shuttle buses to class 8 heavy-duty electric trucks aimed for city logistics.

A first prototype of a mini shuttle bus is in the making and has a 80 kWh battery pack from Lion Electric’s preferred supplier LG Chem. The chassis can hold two of those.

They also consider to open another factory in the USA but for now are making all their electric utility vehicles in Canada.
