Ford: E-SUV Mach 1 to be built on C2 platform

The Mach 1 fully electric performance SUV planned by Ford will build on the C2 platform, which is integrated into the new Ford Focus.

Due to the mechanics of the platform, it is expected that the Mach 1 will feature front-wheel drive. The electric SUV, which is currently mainly known by it’s internal designation CX430, is scheduled to be publicly presented in 2019, and will be available for purchase by 2020.
