The Chicago Police Department has ordered 200 Ford Police Interceptor Utility Hybrid vehicles. So far, law enforcement agencies across America from New England to Southern California have ordered 3,700-plus units of the hybrid vehicle, marking 19% of current orders.

Ford expands PHEV tests to Cologne

Ford is extending their field tests with plug-in hybrids to Cologne. In the Rhine metropolis, nine Ford Transit Custom PHEVs and one Tourneo Custom PHEV will be used in five municipal fleets for a year in different everyday scenarios.
