Ford begins manufacturing the Mach-E in China

Ford has started production of the all-electric Mustang Mach-E in China and opened the order books there at the same time. The Mustang Mach-E, produced at Changan Ford’s plant in Chongqing, is scheduled for delivery to customers later this year.

Ford to build electric drive systems in the UK

Ford has announced that it will manufacture components for its electric cars and electric commercial vehicles in Europe at its British transmission plant in Halewood from mid-2024. Halewood thus beat Ford’s transmission plant in Cologne – probably also due to British government subsidies.

Ford & SKI to build 4 e-mobility plants in the USA

Ford has announced a massive expansion of its electric vehicle business. Together with battery partner SK Innovation (SKI), Ford will invest 11.4 billion US dollars in the construction of second new sites with assembly and battery plants in Tennessee and Kentucky. Operations are scheduled to begin in 2025.
