Norway marks 6,731 new EV registrations in July

In Norway, 6,731 new electric cars were registered in July, setting the EV share in new car registrations at 64 per cent last month. Norway’s most successful model across all drive types was the Ford Mustang Mach-E with 898 new registrations.

Ford is offering a new Mustang Mach-E variant in China

Ford has expanded the range of its Mustang Mach-E in China with a new variant that qualifies for the government subsidy there. The new Mustang Mach-E in the SE edition with rear-wheel-drive and large battery is available from 282,000 yuan (equivalent to around 36,900 euros) after subsidies.

Ford wants a battery plant in Michigan

Ford is taking its first steps towards producing its own battery cells. The US carmaker has now announced that it will build a global battery centre of excellence called Ford Ion Park in southeast Michigan. Lithium-ion and solid-state batteries are to be developed and manufactured in small series there.

US order launch for the Mustang Mach-E GT

Ford is now taking orders in the US for the GT variant of its Mustang Mach-E electric model. In the US, the Mustang Mach-E GT and Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition versions can now be ordered at list prices starting at $59,900 and $64,900 respectively and are scheduled for delivery from autumn 2021.
