Irizar delivers 14 articulated buses to Luxembourg
After Voyages Emile Weber received six electric solo buses from Irizar back in July, the Luxembourg-based bus operator has now ordered another 14 electric articulated buses from the Spanish manufacturer.
The first of the 18 metre type buses will be delivered beginning in March 2019. The order also includes repair and maintenance contracts, as well as the delivery of the corresponding charging infrastructure. With the 14 additional electric buses, the Voyage Emile Weber fleet will grow to a total of 21 electric buses. Seven 12 metre buses by Irizar are already in their parking lot.
Each articulated bus features 51 seats and two wheel chair areas. Including the standing space, they can transport a total of 104 passengers. The range for the electric buses stands between 200 to 220 km. The buses are then charged overnight at the depot, for which Irizar is installing a total of 14 CCS fast charging stations.
