Aldi’s electric kids’ cars sell like hot cakes

It seems that electric cars can sell well in Australia after all. With Christmas at the door, one of Aldi Australia’s best and fastest-selling “special buys” is back. The kids’ electric cars that sold out in seconds in 2017 are on offer again this year.

Customers can get their hands on the motorised Mini Cooper during the discount supermarket’s famous Special Buys sale. As well as featuring the new model they will also be selling the Mercedes Benz, which is the old favourite. Both carry a price tag of $169.

After the Mercedes sold out last year, Aldi vamped up this year’s Mini Cooper with a rechargeable battery for a little more chaos around those Aussie backyards. These little electric cars have been designed to look realistic with working doors and even gears in forward and reverse. The soft pink automobile has a pedal switch and as well as added lights and sound for a bit of bling bling.

If only Australia was as quick on the uptake of adult-sized EVs.
