StreetScooter brings Jörg Sommer to Aachen as CEO
The Post subsidiary StreetScooter is getting a new boss. On 1 April, Jörg Sommer, previously COO at the e-truck manufacturer Chanje, will move from California to the German city of Aachen to expand the StreetScooter management team as their new CEO.
While Jörg Sommer will primarily focus on further growth, the expansion of production and internationalisation, his predecessor Achim Kampker will concentrate on the development of new e-mobility concepts, technology and economic fields as well as the cooperation with science as the head of innovation at StreetScooter. Arndt Stegmann will continue to be responsible for finance and Fabian Schmitt for technology within the management team of StreetScooter GmbH.
Sommer is regarded as an experienced advocate of electric mobility and has over ten years of professional experience in this field at Renault and Volkswagen. He was head of the electric mobility division of VW worldwide and responsible for business in this segment of VW, Audi and other Group brands in the USA, Europe and China. Before VW, he was Brand Director, Upper and Electric Vehicles at Renault Group. Prior to that, he held various management positions at Daimler.
