IONITY is continuing the expansion of their UK EV charging network, and has added a 350 kW high power charger to their charging park in Milton Keynes.

According to Ionity, the chargers can completely charge an EV in “less than 20 minutes”, and will serve local EV drivers with 100% renewable electricity.

This is the second high power charger the company has installed, and plans for the next one in Gretna Green are already in place. Their next steps in expansion involve Ionity installing 400 stations in Europe by 2020, which will offer a total of 2,400 charging points for EV drivers.

Marcus Groll, chief operations officer at Ionity, said: “We are excited to continue the expansion of the UK network, alongside our partners. Milton Keynes is a key location, both geographically and as an automotive and technology hub – it was an ideal site for our second UK station.” He went on to add that a total of 40 350 kW stations are planned in the UK.
