London bridge improved, but not for electric buses

In what has been described as a “strange oversight” an upgraded Hammersmith Bridge was not made to be sturdy enough for London’s current fleet of electric double-decker buses.

While the Hammersmith and Fulham council seeks government funding for restorations, the bridge has been closed indefinitely to vehicles since 10 April.
