Nissan UK launches Leaf e+ N-TEC Limited Edition

Nissan UK is launching an N-TEC edition of the Leaf e+ with a 62-kWh battery, limited to 1,000 units.  The limited-edition will join the cross-car line N-TEC versions of Micra, Qashqai and X-trail that were launched in January.

With the Nissan Leaf e+, the Japanese company says that the newly-developed 62kWh battery pack offers 55% more capacity and 25% improvement in energy density. This has apparently been managed while keeping a similar shape and size to the 40kWh Leaf battery pack without compromising the car’s design and interior space.

The Leaf e+ N-TEC is priced at £32,795, including the £3,500 government grant.  The special edition is being offered with a number of finance campaigns starting now and going until 31 March as part of Nissan’s Red Tag Event. The e+ version of Leaf boasts 217PS of power, 340Nm of torque and up to 239 miles (385 km) of range (WLTP combined). The special edition also offers and increase in acceleration: from 0-62 mph in 6.9 seconds.

James Bird, Electric Vehicle Product Manager at Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd. added; “Nissan is always looking to bring its advanced technologies to customers at ever-more accessible levels. So we’re delighted to be introducing the N-TEC edition of Leaf e+ which strikes a fantastic balance of price, performance and specification.”
