Illegally tuned BMW i8 can’t outrun the internet
German police recently confiscated a heavily-modified BMW i8 after the driver of the hybrid super sports car posted a video of himself doing 200 kph on a country road.
Police said that finding the car and driver was easy trough the video. Experts discovered “numerous illegal technical modifications” to the BMW i8. Among other things, the super plug-in could only be pulled onto the tow truck only “with difficulty” because it was set so close to the ground that it couldn’t be rolled up the ramp.
