Great Wall Motor presents next ORA BEV

The ORA Haomao, which means ‘Good Cat’, is the fourth mass-produced model under Great Wall Motor’s dedicated electric vehicle brand ORA. The electric car was released on the market on 24 November. At the same time, the first Haomao car rolled off the assembly line at GWM’s Taizhou manufacturing plant.

Hoamao is available with five trim levels, and starting prices range from 103,900 yuan ($15,760) to 143,900 yuan ($21,830). Built off of Great Wall Motor’s ‘L.E.M.O.N.’ EV platform, the small EV can sprint from 0-50 kph in 3.8 seconds, using a 105 kW electric motor mounted on the front axle. It can achieve 210 Nm torque and benefits from a lightweight design with a drag coefficient of 0.289 Cd. Two battery versions are available, with the 47.8kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack enabling an NEDC range of 400 km, while the 59.1kWh ternary-lithium battery pack can handle 500km range, according to the manufacturer.

While the Hoamao features dimensions of 4,235mm length, 1,825mm width, 1,596mm height and a wheelbase of 2,650mm, the design is more in the direction of a small SUV than the compact car in which the car is segmented. Charging can be done from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes

I am looking forward to purchasing an Electric GWM over here in Western Australia with a 500km range ( or better depending on the battery packs available) it will fit well into the EV range over here We Currently have a V240 Ute and although being very (very) basic it does what is required...Peter Greenhead WA
