Mercedes EQC to receive two new variants

Mercedes-Benz is sending two new variants of the EQC to dealers in May: a base model configured uniformly throughout Europe at list prices starting at 66,068 euros and a new sports version that will round off the model range upwards in the future at prices starting at 73,208 euros.

High demand for the Model Y in China

Tesla is apparently experiencing high demand for its Model Y in China. After the series production of the Model Y was started in Shanghai a few days ago and the first deliveries were promised for January. Now the Tesla website for China lists the second quarter of 2021 as the delivery date for new orders.

Xpeng launches delivery of G3 electric SUV in Norway

Chinese manufacturer Xpeng has started delivering its electric cars to customers in Norway. One hundred units of the Xpeng G3 electric SUV are currently being handed over to their new owners in 28 Norwegian cities. Prices start at 358,000 kroner, the equivalent of around 33,700 euros.

Tesla gears up for Model Y production in China

Tesla has started production of the Model Y in Shanghai. A drone video shows around 40 units of the Model Y in a parking lot of the plant. Elon Musk indirectly confirmed the start of production on Twitter and wrote that he plans to travel to Shanghai in January, possibly for delivery launch.

Audi offers 22-kW charger option with e-tron

Audi now offers a second onboard charger for the e-tron 55 and the e-tron Sportback 55, which allows doubling the AC charging power from 11 to up to 22 kW. This option will also be available for the e-tron 50 and e-tron S models in mid-2021. There is no retrofit solution.
