When short-sellers shorten sales

Nikola is cutting its delivery target for this year in half to 25 – 50 vehicles from an original estimate of 50 – 100. In a conference call with analysts, CEO Mark Russell said the company was facing “numerous” delays related to parts procurement.

A few days ago, the US Attorney’s Office in New York filed charges against Trevor Milton, the Nikola founder who resigned in September 2020 after allegations of fraud stemming from short-seller Hindenburg Research.
