Tesla recalls Model 3 and Model Y in the USA

Tesla is recalling around 2,800 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in the USA. The worry is that the affected vehicles may develop loose wishbones of the front wheel suspension.

The issue itself is that the front suspension lateral link on Model 3 and Model Y vehicles is attached to the sub-frame using two fasteners. Some of these fasteners were apparently not secured to the correct specification, allowing the fastener to loosen over time or separate from the subframe. In response, Tesla Service will inspect affected vehicles for proper torque of the fasteners that secure both front suspension lateral links to the sub-frame and re-secure it if needed.

This time, we expect Ford probably won’t be making fun of the things that can go wrong in mass production.
