Kia notes dealers overcharging for the EV6

Following the launch of the Kia EV6 in the U.S., the first word on dealers is that some are charging significant markups on the list price. A Kia spokesperson says the company encourages its dealers to price their vehicles fairly.

Ford and General Motors recently also faced similar issues, however, took a more active approach in solving them. “Dealers are independent businesses, but we do ask them to price fairly and consider customer satisfaction throughout the purchase process,” the spokesperson said. “While paying upwards of $80,000 for an electric Kia is a lot of money, we recently concluded that the EV6 is the new benchmark in its segment of the EV market. We’re confident that the forthcoming GT variant will be even better.”
