Deliveries of the ‘Pioneers Series‘ that had already been presented are to start in the summer of 2022, first in Switzerland, before deliveries are made in Germany and Italy in the fourth quarter of 2022. The company then plans to serve other EU countries during 2023.

The Microlino will be available in four variants, all of which will be powered by an electric motor with an output of 12.5 kW. The electric two-seater’s top speed clocks in at 90 km/h and will be available with three battery sizes (6, 10.5 or 14 kWh), which should enable ranges of 91, 177 and 230 kilometres, respectively. The batteries can be recharged via type 2. With a maximum charging power of 1.35 kW, the small battery needs four hours, the medium battery with 2.6 kW three hours and the largest battery (also 2.6 kW) four hours.

The entry-level variant is called the Urban edition. This model will be available in two colours and only be equipped with a 6 kWh battery. However, potential customers will have to be patient since this model will not be available until the second quarter of 2023, before which the subsequent variants will be given preference:

The model called Competizione is for futurists. This edition will be available in three different matt colours and will have a sliding roof as standard. For this variant, Micro Mobility Systems offers medium and large batteries. The variant called Dolce is meant for retro lovers, according to the company. It will be available in five colours, has a sunroof as standard and comes with a choice of all three battery sizes (6, 10.5 or 14 kWh).

Micro says the Dolce and the Competizione could be delivered as early as the end of 2022, depending on the supply chain situation.

The Swiss company says the launch edition will be the first to hit the streets. The limited Pioneer Series make up the first 999 vehicles. All Microlinos from the Pioneer Series will be equipped with a 10.5 kWh battery for a range of up to 177 kilometres and come in two different colours that are only available in this particular series: Atlantis Blue and Torino Aluminum. Thus, the Launch Edition will use the middle of the three announced battery variants.

Final prices have not yet been revealed, and the configurator is to be activated in the next few days. Preference will initially be given to customers from Switzerland, however, before advance payments will also be accepted from Germany and Italy at a later date. If Micro is able to keep to its own production schedule, about 1,500 Microlino will be built in Turin by the end of this year.

The company also sees a challenge in being able to satisfy all customers. According to Micro, there are currently more than 30,000 reservations for the light electric vehicle.

Update 09 June 2022

Just two weeks after the launch event, Micro Mobility has opened the configurator for Swiss pre-orderers of the Microlino. Initially, the configurator was tested with some customers in a password-protected area on the homepage, but it is now freely accessible

With the launch of the configurator, the official list prices in Switzerland are also known. They start at 14,990 Swiss francs including VAT. For the time being, customers outside Switzerland can use the configurator and make a reservation without paying a deposit. As soon as deliveries are due in a market, these customers will also have to pay a deposit to secure their place in the queue. The next markets where the Microlino will be introduced are Germany and Italy. The first deliveries for these two markets are expected for the end of 2022
